It’s a new semester at School of Music Montreal and we are so excited to announce the launch of new pilot programs at Verdun Elementary and Giant Steps School. In 2015, SoMM implemented its first pilot program, which consisted of a series of musical workshops conducted at Verdun Elementary, pictured below.
“Starting in February 2016, we’re looking to reprise these workshops. They’ll probably be on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the homework zone time at Riverview Elementary and Orchard Elementary schools. The workshops will run for 45 mins each, 3 times per school,” says SoMM’s Director of Education, Trevor Tsui.
We have recently finished training our influx of brilliant new teachers for workshops, and look forward to the beginning of the new pilot programs! SoMM will also continue giving free individual lessons to students in tandem with workshops.
